Dean Horsfield began consulting with Best Buy Canada in the summer of 2012. He worked with their corporate headquarters to help build out the new online marketplace that had launched that year. The marketplace was well-positioned to reverse sales declines due to the historic rise of major competitor Amazon. In the end, Dean helped onboard over 200 new product lines, as well as increased the SEO presence of product pages by over 300%. He also introduced new initiatives to use the vast dataset Best Buy had on hand to better target customers in all stages of the purchase lifecycle.
To help achieve record pace SEO growth of over 300%, Dean worked to restructure site code, product titles, descriptions, social media linking, page traffic metrics, and a variety of other proprietary initiatives.
