Small businesses around the globe are facing challenges due to the spread of COVID-19 and Toronto is no exception. Following the closures of non-essential businesses, local microbreweries are putting some “hops” in our step as they pivot their business models and create innovative ways to connect with their loyal consumers.

Our team is excited to call out some of our amazing local businesses and their super innovative marketing efforts.

Blood Brothers Brewery

Known for its innovative flavour palettes and sour nitro brews, Blood Brothers is offering free same-day delivery (over $50) within Toronto, and a curbside option at their brewery location. To keep the traffic flowing and their customers coming back for more, they have also taken to social media to announce new flavour options that have been recently added to their online shop!

Bandit Brewery

The Roncesvalles favourite is another local microbrewery offering their products online. Bandit caught our eye when we personally received a little gift with our delivery! Bandit is saying thank you by adding one of their custom-designed beer chalices to each order. This seriously enhances the home beer drinking experience and feels a little more “normal” even without the amazing pub atmosphere. Plus, if collecting every cool beer glass you come across at local breweries doesn’t get you excited then you are doing it wrong.

Collective Arts

One of the most innovative pivots by a local brewery comes to us from Collective Arts. They have joined forces with New York based Other Half Brewery to support local businesses and workers within the hospitality industry. Other Half has provided an open-source recipe for their ‘All Together’ IPA in order for other breweries to take a crack at it and join the movement. The support that they are offering during this time is just another reason to order online and keep the good deed going.

Our team loves to celebrate when local businesses get innovative and pivot during tough times, and breweries are just one example within a list of many. Now get out there and support your local community businesses!

Have you heard any amazing stories lately that you feel need to be recognized? Let us know and we’ll be sure to celebrate it with you! (from afar…)
